CHRISTIANS HOLD VIGILS TO PRAY FOR GOD TO INTERVENE IN THE AFFAIRS OF GHANA

The National Coalition for Proper Human Sexual Rights and Family Values (CPSHRFV) organized strategic vigils within Ghana from 30th June 2024 to 1st July 2024. The Strategic Vigil was hosted by The Apostolic Church-Ghana at Kwashieman in Accra, Oforikrom in Kumasi, and Regional in Koforidua.

The purpose of the Vigils was to make intense prayers to God concerning the signing of the Anti-LGBT Bill into Law in Ghana. Prayers were also offered for the repentance and deliverance of LGBTQI+ people and those actively promoting and supporting the spread of LGBTQI+ in Ghana and across the globe. Other prayer sessions focused on peaceful elections and for God to give Ghana a Leader who fears Him at the next elections in Ghana.

The vigil in Accra was attended by National Executive Committee members of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), the largest ecumenical group in Ghana, and Executives of the Coalition. Some of the dignitaries are Apostle Dr. Aaron Ami-Narh (2nd Vice President of GPCC and President of The Apostolic Church-Ghana), Apostle Immanuel Tettey (General Secretary of GPCC), Rev. Dr. Stephen Wengam (Executive Member of GPCC and General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana), Lawyer Moses Foh-Amoaning (Executive Secretary, CPSHRFV), and Dr. Justice Appiah Kubi.

The Coalition comprises Ghanaโ€™s major Christian ecumenical groups, i.e. GPCC, Christian Council and the Catholic Bishops Conference; Traditional Authorities, Islamic Council, etc.

Christians in Ghana have been admonished to offer prayers continuously for God to save Ghana from the acceptance of the activities of LGBTQI+.

More vigils and prayer chains (14th-16th July 2024) will be held in due course to pray more for the nation.
