Old Tafo Area Women’s Ministry Embarks On Outreach Programme At PENSEC-Kumasi, Donates Stationery To The School
The Old Tafo Area Women’s Ministry of The Church of Pentecost, on Sunday, July 21, 2024, embarked on an outreach programme at the Pentecost Senior High School (PENSEC) in Kumasi, aiming to support the students, particularly the final year students and ease their fears about the upcoming West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
Led by the Area Leader, Deaconess Mavis Addai, the ministry presented 2000 pieces of whiteboard markers to the school valued at GHS 5,500.00 and a token of money to purchase pens for the final year students, in line with the Church’s “Possessing the Nations” agenda.
During the visit, the students warmly welcomed the Area Women’s Ministry and engaged in songs of praise and worship. Leaders and their executives from the 13 districts within the Area also attended the event alongside the Area leadership.
Deaconess Mavis Addai delivered a sermonette on the topic: “Trusting In God’s Plan,” drawing from Jeremiah 29:11.
She emphasised the importance of planning and highlighted God’s perfect plan for mankind, urging students to maintain their faith in God regardless of their circumstances.
Special prayers were offered for the final year students, and the event concluded with an altar call, resulting in four students accepting Christ Jesus.
Pastor Mathias Wornu, the Chaplain of PENSEC-Kumasi, who also serves as the Resident Minister for Estate Worship Centre, accepted the donations on behalf of the school. He expressed gratitude to God and the Old Tafo Area Women’s Ministry for their generosity, assuring that the donations will serve the intended purpose.
Some of the final year students also shared their experiences during the event.
