Re-Constitution Of Committees Under The Department Of Ecumenical And Social Relations

The Clerk of the General Assembly, Rev. Dr. Godwin Nii Noi Odonkor, has officially sent-off and reconstituted two key committees under the Department of Ecumenical and Social Relations. A brief ceremony of send-off and constitution of the Committees took place at the Church House, Kukuhil Osu.

Under Article 29 Clause (2), the Committee on Church and Society and the Committee on Ecumenism and Relations with People of Other Faiths have served their full term mandate and were duly dissolved.

Outgoing committee members are as follows;

COMMITTEE ON ECUMENISM AND RELATIONS WITH PEOPLE OF OTHER FAITHS.

In place of the dissolved committees, new members have been appointed to form the reconstituted Committee on Church and Society and the Committee on Ecumenism and Relations with People of Other Faiths. These committees would continue the vital work in fostering social justice, promoting interfaith dialogue, and strengthening the churchโ€™s relationships with diverse communities.

Rev. Dr. Godwin Nii Noi Odonkor expressed his gratitude to the outgoing committee members for their dedicated service and contributions. Reading from Acts 6:1-7, he stressed the critical need to decentralize works in PCG. He welcomed the newly appointed members, urging them to bring fresh perspectives from their rich experience and renewed energy to their roles. The Clerk of GA pledged his full support to the committees to make their tasks easy and more effective for God and the Church.
